Tranmere story

Liverpool-born winger Andy Parkinson came through Liverpool’s youth system and joined Tranmere Rovers in 1997. He was part of the side that reached the 2000 League Cup final before moving to Sheffield United in 2003.

Parkinson later played for Notts County, Grimsby Town, Cambridge United, Gateshead and Accrington Stanley, then continued his career in Wales with Aberystwyth Town and Prestatyn Town. He subsequently returned to Tranmere as a coach and has also served as caretaker manager.
